about us

The EBS Krump World Champion title represents the highest honor in the international Krump community—a symbol of exceptional skill, creativity, and cultural leadership. This prestigious title is awarded each year during the European Buck Session (EBS), the most influential and long-standing Krump platform in the world.

Founded in 2008 by Kwame Osei, originally from Oberhausen, and Kofi Boachie, both of whom were instrumental in building the Krump scene in Düsseldorf, EBS began as a grassroots event held in the basement of a local church. That same year, the event moved to the renowned tanzhaus nrw, marking the beginning of a movement that would soon connect Krumpers across continents.

Since its inception, EBS has grown into a global phenomenon, attracting dancers and fans from over 46 countries annually. The EBS World Final is the centerpiece of the event, where elite dancers battle for the coveted World Champion title in front of international audiences and legendary figures of the Krump world.

EBS also hosts preselection events in major cities and metropolitan hubs around the globe, including Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Johannesburg, Brisbane, Brussels, and many more—creating a truly international path to the world stage.

Now a four-day cultural and artistic experience, EBS offers much more than battles. The program includes intensive sessions, high-level competitions, seminars, creative nights, and street battles, blending street authenticity with an expanded focus on artistic expression and performance. EBS is helping reshape how Krump is viewed—not only as a raw, powerful dance form but also as a vehicle for storytelling, theater, and innovation.

To be crowned the EBS Krump World Champion is to carry the legacy of the culture while pushing its boundaries. Through the vision of its founders and the passion of its global community, EBS continues to elevate Krump as both a movement and an art form on the world stage.
